The foundation for any successful client relationship is listening. This concept has been the basis of my residential design work for the last 19 years. My approach focuses on the importance of contextual design with highly-detailed residential work.
In 2000, I started my own residential design business catering to clients in the greater Puget Sound area. Brenda Hake Misel Residential Design focuses on new construction, remodels and kitchen and bath design for residential homes. When working with clients, I provide a full range of of design services, which include, project master planning, conceptual design through construction/permit documents, building permits, cost estimate review, construction administration, interior design concepts and lighting design, including fixture layout/selection and interior finishes.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Washington, where I attended both the Architecture in Rome Program and the Italian Hilltowns Summer Program.
